1 yd/1 m solid quilting cotton fabric (44 in/112 cm wide) for lining and pocket binding (I used Michael Miller Cotton Couture in Meadow)

3/8 yd/0.4 m contrasting or print fabric (44 in/112 cm wide) for pocket and top opening binding (I used Marimekko Appelsiini)

33/8 yd/3 m cotton webbing (1 in/2.5 cm wide) for handles

6-by-13-in/15-by-33-cm piece of plastic canvas (optional), for bottom insert
